A recent project undertaken by Birmingham Transformers Ltd. was to supply items to run a 24 pulse dc drive system and consisted of :

2 x 1.25MVA oil filled 6.6kV transformers

2 x IBR's rated 800A/1600A

1 x IBR rated 1600A/3200A

1 x dc choke rated 1mH @ 2000A dc

This project was completed to the customer's satisfaction ahead of the customer's deadline of 16 weeks.
